Custom server and software

Multiple pumps, controlled by a user friendly interface

iotopus developed a custom server which can control multiple pump systems. The interface is designed by R2PRO and is tailored for use in leaching tests.

The server is based on a custom linux image and functions from a mini-pc.  All interactions with the interface and the pump software are logged in a secured database so that all interactions and historic data can be reviewed when needed. The interface is accessed from a web browser within the local network of the mini-pc but a direct access option with a hooked up screen is also an option.

iotopus developed an encrypted remote assistance portal which enables BCON to deliver support without having to visit their clients enabling BCON to deliver their services more remotely. Next to this an support portal is implemented to handle support of the end customer in a convenient way.

What is a leaching test?

Soil quality is measured with leaching tests

There are many reasons for performing a soil leaching test, amongst a few: to test soil for hazardous particles when planning agricultural sites, to determine if it is safe for children to play on when planning housing/playgrounds.

In order to test for the particles apparent in the soil, leaching tests have been standardised (e.g. NEN 7373, NEN 7383, NEN EN 14405). The tests are performed by placing a (soil) sample in a column after which a leaching solution is added via a controlled pumping system. The leachate that is obtained is analysed for its contents.
